The Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) workshop was organized to equip students with practical skills essential for community-driven development. This experience will help students develop sustainable and community-focused strategies for rural development.
The workshop commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. R. Lallianzela, Coordinator, followed by an insightful and inspiring address by Mr. Vuansanga Vanchhawng, Principal, who also officially inaugurated the program. The resource person, Mr. RTC Lalremruata, Assistant Professor, delivered a clear and impactful presentation on the basics and methods of PRA.
The second session of the workshop was dedicated to practical applications. Students were divided into nine groups, each tasked with exploring and applying a specific PRA method. Upon completing their assignments, each group presented an overview of their selected PRA method, sharing their findings, challenges faced, and the practical insights they gained.
Dr. John C. Lalduhsaka, IQAC Coordinator HATIM, then delivered a brief and inspiring speech on the significance of the social work profession. This was followed by the distribution of certificates. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Lalruatfeli.
